New WAter Ways was formed in 2006 to enable excellence in integrated water cycle management and build capacity of government and industry practitioners, with funding provided through the Coastal Catchments Initiative by the Australian Government, the former Department of Planning and Infrastructure, the Department of Water and the Western Australian Local Government Association.
The aim of New WAter Ways is to build the water sensitive urban design capacity of Government and industry to improve the delivery of urban water management and water sensitive cities.
New WAter Ways acknowledges Aboriginal people as the First Peoples and Nations of the lands and waters we live and work upon and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and respect the deep spiritual connection and the relationship that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to Country.
